26-27 November, 2011
@ Werkstatt der Kulturen, Wissmannstraße 23, 12049 Berlin, Germany
Sat 12:00 - 23:00 / Sun 12:00 - 18:00

Organized by a handful of DIY zine-enthusiasts, we met in May 2011 to start planning for the first DIY zine festival that Berlin has ever seen. We wanted to bring the underground culture of zines into the public realm, celebrate independent publishing, and use the festival as a massive network to connect other zinesters and artists together across an international crowd.

There were 40+ vendors displaying their work such as zines, comics, hand-made books, screen-prints and posters. There were also 15 workshops and discussions, all relating to self publishing and zines. I also facilitated a workshop, "How to Organize a Zine Fest", and presented zines from Raumschiff Distro.

This will be an annual festival in Berlin!
